Why settle for simple text, when you can easily have rich text -- that rivals commercial word processing programs? Many times, sites will simply supply a 'textarea' for user input, or even to publish information to customers or users.. These textarea's, while functional, offer no formatting capability. It is far better to publish rich content that your customers will notice, rather than just a 'plain' message.
Practical Uses The Rich Text Control can be used for many things. Here are but two examples:
--- Customer/user feedback - Use the HTML generated by the Rich text Control and use in the body of an email.
--- Real time content publishing - Use the HTML that has been generated by jo-rte and store in a database. The content can then be 'written' to a web page (or used in an email). Using jo-rte in this way provides a web-based WYSIWG HTML editor/generator. You can even cut and paste from Word/Excel. etc. directly into the control
